 “NUTRILITE started out as one man’s obsession more than 70 years ago,” notes Joe Markiewicz. While living in China in the 1920s, Founder Carl Rehnborg, noticed, amid unforgettable malnutrition and disease, an important connection between the foods people ate and their overall health.

 “Carl supplemented his meager diet with a soup he created with available ingredients: local herbs, grasses, vegetables, rusty nails for iron, lime stone and ground up animal bones for calcium. He and others who ate the soup maintained better health during this time than those who had eaten only army rations,” explains Joe Markiewicz. Upon returning to the United States, Rehnborg set up a laboratory and began experimenting with different plants and processes, ultimately developing what would become NUTRILITE Double X, the first multivitamin/multimineral supplement sold in North America.

In recognition of his efforts, Carl Rehnborg was recently inducted into the Wellness Revolution Hall of Fame. “Double X remains a leading product in the NUTRILITE line,” says Joe Markiewicz.  “Double X and other outstanding Nutrilite products are available exclusively from our association members, IBOs in the United States and Canada, powered by Quixtar,” adds Markiewicz.
