Internet streaming media not meaningful for many women.
Streaming media allows users to watch or listen to information on the Internet as it travels along the communications network. "Streaming" has quickly become part of the vernacular. It means that users can access video and audio content easily. In effect, "streaming" is more the medium than the content. You may have actually participated in streaming yourself and not known that you have done so. When you visit a news site, for example, and you click and watch a video file, you are streaming. When you stream music, you are basically participating in a music download, which just about everyone has done. After the snarl of "free" versus "fee" music downloads smoothed out, iPod is now a device of everyday life for many people. Therefore, music streaming is also part of everyday life for many people. Online sales are expected to grow nearly 18 percent this year.    According to a recent report, total 2007 online sales are expected to rise to $259.1 billion.  One sales growth driver is effective web advertising.  Companies making steady gains have several communications factors in common.  The most important thing they get right is thinking in “pictures” rather than “words.” Keep it visually simple, try for interactivity and use complimentary rather then competing messages. We can now see Oreo cookies being dunked and McDonald’s new salad being spun in online ads.  Crystal Light added interactivity. Internet Crime Complaints Up 12 Percent

Complaints about online crime were up last year. The Internet Crime Complaint Center received more than 231,000 complaints last year--up 12 percent from 2004. The Internet Crime Complaint Center also reported that most perpetrators--75 percent--and victims--64 percent--were men. Additionally, men lost far more money than women ($1.86 dollars lost by men for every $1 dollar lost by women).
